Biotechnology and Management.

The healthcare system costs the United States $2.7 trillion — 17.5 percent of gross domestic product — in 2010. More than 40 percent of that cost — about $1 billion — comprises pharmaceutical, diagnostics, biotechnology and medical devices.

Web 2.0 in pharma clinical trials: Chemgenex

 

Not exactly rocket science but Chemgenex has developed a nice mashup of mapping for clinical trials searching instead of the usual process of dumping them in Clinicaltrials.gov and hoping some patient or researcher finds them.
