An interesting article on the future of money which points out that mega credit card company and bank intermediaries are rapidly becoming obsolete in a Paypal driven, Twitterfied, iTunes enabled economy which will allow small businesses and individuals to exchange money more directly and without the many fees. As a regular Mint and Paypal user one hopes that such real time, direct exchange would also increase people’s awareness of their own financial risks and behaviors.
